You leaned on my shoulder

by ShaunaMarie   Jan 12, 2007

You leaned on my shoulder as if nothing was wrong,
You watched with no tears as I sang this sad song,
You said that you love me and that Youd never leave,
But with great dissapointment, my sadness reprieved,
When I found someone else to give my heart to,
I said I was cured and you thought I meant you,
No one had hurt me as much as you had,
You broke your word and you drove me so mad,
You listen with heartache while I say this to you,
I may have hurt you but theres worse to lose,
Nothing I wouldnt give to turn time way back,
You said I was perfect but there are things that I lack,
I need some confidence, courage, some more,
I cant use my fears to walk out that door,
I thought you were there for me to help me get up,
But I guess I cant change my streak of bad luck,
No one understands what we went through together,
And how we never kept close through the worst of the weather,
In the worst of my habits lies a small bit of you,
And you can't understand that the feeling was true,
But anyways, I've learned to let go of this horrible feeling,
And watch all my life as I hang from the ceiling,
I lie awake in my deep purple haze,
And I think of you as I draw down the shades,
I'm done with the anger and the unwanted pain,
No more silent screams, no more walks in the rain...
