Precious Name

by LadyPearl   Jan 14, 2007

If I could use larger words
And fill each letter
till emotions flee the rim
Or sing like birds,
I could possibly feel better
And not so dim.

But nonetheless you require not,
an empty voice of me,
Or my lingering mind to please.
You ask, "have you forgot"
Love requires no jewel nor plea,
Just the faint call of geese.

Why such geese I wondered aloud.
They, so plain compared,
To the soft rainbow feathers of I.
Why listen to them aloud,
When they don't seem to have cared.
Lost in their sky

They know their homeland,
full of love and peace.
They know they need none,
to hold a hand,
Or put together the pieces,

"To be called daughter or son"
