The Love Of The Abyss

by RainbowSlider   Jan 16, 2007

If thy sanity offends thee then pluck it out.
It is easier to live in a world without doubt.
When you look into the mirror its just you.
The abyss can't come unless you allow it to.

The mind wars of yesterday have been fought.
There is no need to worry about getting caught.
It was so much easier when you were still alive.
Don't laugh or wonder how I still can survive.

My dreams were ashes; I had but to learn.
My nightmares were true; Still they burn.
Today, I am free from the hell of my past.
The demons still persist but they can't last.

I have an armada of friends; I am contented.
So much could have better; Much prevented.
But when I look into the mirror its just me.
I can fall forever into the abyss totally free.

I don't have to worry about taking a hold.
I feel no discomfort no matter what unfolds.
It doesn't matter to me which way I may go.
I know you love me; You always told me so.
