I just don't know

I don't know what to do and I don't know what to say,
I guess for some reason I don't know very much today,
I don't know where you are,
or why you stayed away,
I don't yet know my punishment, or how much I'll have to pay.
I don't know where it started,
or where it all will end,
I don't know what it will take for my broken heart to mend.

I don't know why you've left me, nor why you never see,
I don't know how you could do it,
I know I'll pay the fee,

I don't know what to do,
or think, or even say,
I don't know if this will ever be OK.

I don't know why its like this,
but I know that you're not there.
I don't know how to change that,
or how to make you care.
