Pushed too far

by RunningOnEmpty   Jan 23, 2007

His life was not controlled by him
his parents made his every move
they never asked for his consent
just told him what to do...

perfection was the key...
-- his parents' reps were what mattered
outside he was the perfect boy
inside, he was broken... battered...

the sports he would play
all the words he would say
they would not hear his voice
he could not have a choice

consider the problem
it's deep down inside
where he looks of perfection
but is broken inside

he feels like he cannot take it anymore
he just wants to cry when behind a closed door
he wants life to end, he wants to live no more
it's not like he lives for himself anymore...

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
you pushed him too far
-- pushed him right off the edge
it's your fault, mom and dad
it's your fault that he's dead
it's your fault that he blew
all the blame is on you
he could take it no more
and the blame, it's all yours
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

you pushed him too far
-- left a gush, not a scar
and you bled him to death
-- pushed him right off the edge
