A Queen

by Sapphire   Jan 23, 2007

What makes a queen?
A crown on her head?
A red robe that is on her back?
The royal color purple?
Or an English lady that waves her hand?
What is a queen?
Is it just a five letter word that describes something most high?
Or someone who has moved up in the royal family because a family member just died?
But what really makes a queen isn't by the color of her skin
But it is how you are within
It is how you carry yourself
It doesn't depend on your wealth
It is all how love yourself
A queen is not what you wear
A queen is what you know
A queen is love
That rises above all that put her below
A queen isn't anyone who is ten times better
But a loving woman, a loving mother
To be a queen you don't need royalty
All you need is the love of yourself and who you are going to be
A queen does not hide her true self
But puts herself on a pedestal
A queen does not need a country to rule
A queen loves everything and all that is true
A queen does not boast about her money or diamonds
She boasts about her thirst for knowledge
A queen does not ask for attention
But instead gets it when she walks into a room
A queen is a flower ready to bloom
When she looks into the mirror is happy with what she sees
She exudes confidence, pride that shines
A queen does not need a title to be told who she is
She already knows she is a queen with everything that comes along with it!
