White Band of Life

by Jessica   Jan 27, 2007

I wonder the earth in search for light,
In search for someone just right.
Much land I have cover with much sea,
And it all has consumed me.

I came to a far distance land,
And as I walk in close to the sand,
I began to wonder if I will ever find home,
Now that I have finally grown.

As I walk on that peaceful sand,
To my surprise I see a man.
Standing tall and handsome,
With a curious white band.

He was looking at me,
He could tell I was just a teen.
Wondering how he could see me,
I wondered closer full of curiosity.

He reached out his hand,
Which held his white band.
He tied it around my neck,
Then reached out for my soul.

As soon as he touched my soul,
I felt like I was being tied to a pole.
The band began to squeeze ,
And when I could finally breath...

I felt different in fact to much,
I raised my hand to his chest and touched.
Then I began to realize,
That I was now alive.

He has saved me from my dreaded life,
Dreams of horror and that forsaken knife,
How to thank him? I wish I would have known,
Maybe thats why I wrote this poem.

It's a beautiful piece, with a ton of emotion pouring out of it. Your descriptions and words are all perfect, and the flow and cadence is flawless. Astounding job. One thing, however. You may want to double check your spelling.
