Dreamscape

Last night I dreamt a fantasy
You were on my team
And you were wherever I was
Or so it seemed.

I stood there by your side
You didn't even look at me
"The walls are painted with the scythe" you said
"But why i cannot see."

We stood in a room
More empty than a hollow planet
"You're right" I said
"I can even smell it."

The room was pitch black
We couldn't see a thing
Yet you knew where we were going
"How?" I kept asking.

Endless both ways
It was colder than ice
And i was the only one warm
I realized.

I asked why you were so cold
And you stopped me dead in the hall
I saw your eyes and then I knew
It was you who painted these walls.

Flow...was a tad forced because of the rhyming. It didn't seem like the rhymes were working well. But the imagery made up for it. I do like the last stanza. Of course the imagery of the rest of this piece was great and worked well to come to that point.
