Freeing You

by Vic   Jan 30, 2007

Please understand
This fool's point of view.
I had my reasons,
Why I let go of you.

We couldn't be happy,
Not with that kind of life;
Loving each other,
Against distance and time.

It's better off this way,
We live separate ways.
The happiness tomorrow
Would cover the pain of today.

So please don't be angry,
I had to let go.
The hurt was so much,
I just couldn't show.

I had to be okay,
I had to be strong
In giving up this love,
No matter how wrong.

So please forgive,
I never surrendered.
I just had to free you,
It was all for the better.
