My Neverland

by Ashley Dulin   Feb 3, 2007

I slowly drift off to sleep,
Into a world that can only
Be described as my Neverland.
A land that is filled with,
Thoughts of you.
A place where I'm able
To kiss, able to hug, and
Able to finally touch.
A place where finally
I can feel the same
From you.
In my land,
I can feel your lips,
Feel your kiss.
I can feel your hands entwined,
Into mine.
In my land, I feel,
Your eyes.
I feel them connected to mine.
I can feel your arms around my waist.
Within my land,
I can smile and laugh,
With you the way I've,
Wished I could.
However, within minutes,
My land comes crashing,
Down around,
My head as my eyes flutter,
Open and I find myself,
Reaching out into the darkness,
For whatever particles,
I can grasp that are,
Remaining from my land.
And from that moment on,
I'm thrust
Back into reality.
My world without you.
Here I am forced to stay,
Until the evening when ,
My head rests upon my pillow,
And from then on I'm able,
To return once more,
To my Neverland
