Hopeless

by Natalie Reget   Feb 4, 2007

I'm trapped, by a stone barrier.
If only my life was fairer.
Pushed up against a dark lie,
Wishing the day would die.
Clinging to my life-line,
For love, life, laughter I pine.
My hope has disinigrated...
My defiance has infuriated...
Many people now hate me
I light is lacked for me to see.
I'm holding on to hope
But with this pain I cannot cope.
I watch my life burn before me
The flames are all I can see.
But now, the flames are slowly retreating...
They are done with their feeding.
