Love is..

by Ashley Ann   Feb 4, 2007

Confusing thing, love is.
Hearts are as stubborn as can be.
Even though they love unconditionally,
Its the truth they refuse to see.

No matter how fast tears may fall,
No matter how much may stream down,
Stubbornness always steers its way
Inbetween a loving sound.

No matter how sweet loves rhythem appears,
The beats of the heart remain hidden,
Until words are spoken untruthfully,
Until loving becomes forbidden.

Awesome choice in words, I love the reverse action in the first line. I think a rhyme sceme would be good in this case, I dont know how you feel about it. When I read the first stanza I thought there was an ABBC R.S., but was disappointed when the following stanzas didnt follow through.

Very strong poem that expresses a specific aspect of love that is not addressed often enough, although I question the relevance of the title to the actual piece. Either way, very good job!
