My Angel

by Kaitlyn   Feb 4, 2007

My Angel,
Has wings of black,
Matted and torn,
Framing his scarred back.

My Angel,
Has sad dark eyes,
Glittering with the pain,
Of all my lies.

My Angel,
Cries behind a curtain of raven hair,
What happened to his light?
He was once so fair.

My Angel,
Tears drip from his chin,
He wants to help but can't,
Saving Me's too hard for him.

My Angel,
Held all my pain at bay,
Destroying himself,
To make my day.

My Angel,
I used him as a shield,
Putting him in the hurt,
While I slowly healed.

My Angel,
Whispers softly in my ear,
maybe if you cared for me,
You wouldn't be alone here.'

My Angel,
Has sheltered me thus far,
I guess I should let go,
And accept my scars.

Oh but my Angel,
My Angel,
Every thing's been Grey,
Since he flew away.
