If They Knew

by Kaitlyn   Feb 7, 2007

People all look,
But none of them see.
First glance is all they need,
So none of them know me.

Make another joke,
Bout a slit wrist,
When they have no clue,
Not even the general gist.

No-one knows who I am,
Just accept my transparent act,
As though it were convincing,
A real solid fact.

Would it scare them,
If I told the truth?
Everything about me?
All about my youth?

If they knew my dreams,
If they knew my nightmare,
If they knew me,
Would any of them care?
