Worldwide Demand

Worldwide Demand

I’ve crossed the seven seas,
I have risen above my knees.
I have washed away peoples sorrow,
I have brought another tomorrow.
After every storm and after the heavy rain,
There comes a humongous rainbow right after the never ending pain.

Yet why is it that I am lost?
What of me has it cost?
To fall upon you so often,
Yet go down the drain which I get lost in.

And evaporated up again,
Just to get caught in this confusing chain.
To go up and down,
Without a frown,
And serve others without gain.

Twenty four seven I am present,
With you in your moments,
gloomy or pleasant.
Enjoying monsoons with your dears,
And falling upon your cheeks,
Tears caused by fears.

So if truth is not what I follow,
And if my faith in you is hollow.
Then why would I still be here?
Why would I still be quenching your thirst and removing your fear?

Because water is transparent and pure,
Needed by the rich and poor.
It is the one thing that connects the world,
Which is has become so twisted and so twirled.

**I didn't just want to write a poem about water...I had to write this for a youth camp I was going to and I thought it was meaningful, please comment ^^!!**
