Awakening

by Ryan C   Feb 8, 2007

A lifetime between them,
A tragedy and love crisscrossed,
The words of one's life,
Has now been lost.

A kiss from the heavens,
Reach down and sheds your clothes,
Slowly you now lie down,
Lying uncovered in the snow.

The embrace of your lover,
Replaces the drugs lying at your soul's alter,
Fills your eyes back up with color,
As your crumpled sin wades in the water.

In your room at the hospital,
Lying down now with your lover close,
Slowly pulling out,
Of your unwakeable comatose.

At thirty thousand deep,
Or at fifty stories high,
By your side in the flames,
Is where I will die.
