I lost everything I had

I once had the world in my hand,
The only thing I'd ever need,
I had the love that most demand,
But lost it all to greed.

I tried so hard to make it right,
To do the best I could,
But my dreams faded to black & White,
Then suddenly, alone and cold I stood.

I took what I had for granted,
Never saw her for who she truly was,
She took me to a place so enchanted,
That's what the love of an angel does.

Just when I had it all,
I went and threw everything away,
Sometimes I wish she'd write or call.
Or stop by my house one day.

But her love is over and gone,
I only have myself to blame,
I treated her just like a pawn,
In a twisted, shameful game.

All I wanted to do was keep her near
To protect her from all that was bad,
I haven't stopped crying ever since the year,
I lost everything I had.

    this was excellent! i've had a few different times that i went through that same situation, i hated it.. yet sometimes i was that girl...

    Awwww wow this is amazing.. i def can relate to this.. you probably know that since some of my poems are kinda about the same thing..

    Sometimes I wish she'd write or call.
    Or stop by my house one day.

    I can DEFINITELY relate to that.. it sucks when someone you love or loved just disappears from your life and you have no way of getting in touch with them.. it really does suck.. nice job though like always =] 5/5

    first of all i congrats you because your this poem is so great work. you realy have alot of talent.

    now i will talk to you about the this poem
    my friend, that was an excellent piece of work i realy loved this way of writing. the poem was greatly structured wiht deep emotions. this is the truth love feeling you realy know the meaning of love. your love shines from your syes still, that is great.

    So sad, yet I know the feeling. you left me breathless, with every word you wrote. The flow again amazing, the word choice brillant, the vocab perfect, and the emtion powerful. again you have outdone yourself. 5/5 although I sincerely wish I could give you more. keep it up.
