Waiting and Missing You

by Michelle   Apr 5, 2004

Missing you each moment of the day
Is the hardest thing I've ever done,
I think of you with stars at night
And with the rising of the sun.
It's the most heartbreaking thing
To have found a love so real
And not be able to touch you
To show you exactly how I feel.
Sometimes I curse the fates
That have kept us so far apart
But in the next breath I'm blessing them
For bringing You into my heart.
It seems cruel and unjust
To have to wait so long
I know what I am needing
And I know where you belong...
What is unknown is the exact timeframe
That we'll have to endure
This infection we're both smitten with
With only each other for the cure.
Just a simple little cuddle
Would turn my world around
Make me giddy with the utmost happiness
Turn my frown upside down.
But as I've told you time and time again
I'll wait forever for your love
It's all that I've been praying for
Sent from up above.

Can fully relate to that first stanza you have written here michelle. that vacant feeling of being apart from the one you love, that incomplete fitful hankering that hangs over my life like an omnious black cloud from morning to night, only partialy satiated when we have our chats or phone calls. your use of nightime stars and the rising sun give a sense of time, of continous unfullfilled desires forever niggling at our peace of mind.
yes it is very heartbraking to find someone special then to be denyed even there pressence, ever having to daydream about the moment we meet, that first exciting, nervous embrace. `love so real` so glad you see it the same way i do too. the real thing, totaly unmistakable when it finaly happens. at 34 i was begining to think of it as a myth but you have proved that theory wrong, and im so glad you have.
The third stanza perfectly reflects the constant emotional flux the present situation brings, the bittersweet, cruel/joyful, wonderous/ tortuious merry-go-round were are currently spinning and reeling from. i tend to bless the fates as surely its better to have this than to not, but know exactly what you mean.
`what is unknow is the timeframe` well 8wks or so baby and i will be with you. like you said with each passing night we are drawing closer and closer to the time when, for a few weeks at least we can find some peace in our hearts, jus thinking on that is giving me comfort at the moment. a thought i will cling to. `this infection...only each other for the cure` love the way you have described it there, couldnt have put it better. each of us the antitode to this disease we call love. brilliant poetry babe (again!)
yes a simple cuddle will turn my frown upside down too (love the way you put it there), just the merest of touches would be like a drop of water touching my lips as i was crossing a brutal desert, a tiny morsel of relief from all this raw heat.
yet again you save the best till last. you have no ideal how that concluding stanza makes my heart sing. knowing you are feeling exactly the same as me, and are prepared to wait and go all through these uneccesary problems brings a smile to my weary face. im gonna protest to the host, five isnt enough for this babe, yr poetry deserved a wider audience than jus one web site. verse like this should be in the homes of millions. if i had my way school children a hundred years from now would be taught your poetry, all being able to recite yr best work off by heart. you are blessed with a gift babe xxx
