News that shocked...

Watching the news ,
I heard a familiar name.
A young man had died ,
what a crying shame.
The name played on my mind ,
so I rang to ask my mum.
Thats when she told me ,
what I heard left me numb.
The young man who died ,
was my cousins son.
He had been attacked ,
don't know why it was done.
A blow to the head killed him ,
it all happened so fast.
Now things are coming out ,
not all good about his past.
Why should the past matter ? ,
no one deserves to die.
Only 23 with a whole life ahead ,
his family left in pain to cry.
He was on his way to the shop ,
attacked by 3 in the street.
Is nowhere safe anymore ? ,
will the bad ever be beat ?.
Makes me so angry to see ,
what this world is coming to.
Why so much hate and hurt ? ,
what more must we go through ?.
