The Best I'll Have

by BeautifulxMess   Feb 18, 2007

It hard to move on even though I tried.
For me to say I don't love you I lied.
But I can't have you know what I think.
And you can't see the tears that I weep.

You still love me and I know you do.
You can't hide all that love inside of you.
How can something so good end like this?
And how can it be after one little kiss?

We planed about getting married together.
Having 3 little kids that don't know better.
Arguing over little small bills that we pay.
And making up into the next day.

We dreamed about growing very old.
Having you all this time made me whole.
I miss our moments under the blue moon.
Sneaking out your window into your room.

It seems like it only happened yesterday.
The night we met and we had so much to say.
I'll never forget our moments we shared.
And the love you had, and how much you cared.

So I hope you think about me and smile.
Think about all the times we were wild.
Remember that laugh I did you said was cute.
And how many times we always said I love you.

Just know that smile is only a fake.
I can't laugh knowing I'm a mistake.
But I love you through all my heart has.
And you'll always be the best I'll have.

*This is not about me. I'm still with my boyfriend. This is just something I thought of.

Wow. its sweet. i loved them rhyming, but the first stanza rhyming didnt fit the rest of the poem. there was also this one part that could be fixed,
"Sneaking out your window into your room."

well. if your sneaking out of the window you would be going outside....so how does that all work... reread it.

    overall 5/5.
