Hey for all you war protesters this is why we war

Sick of your hippie attitudes, we war for freedom's sake
we war for more than oil or commerce, we don't war for anything fake

all the men overseas were not drafted involuntarily, they chose
they wanted to protect even you, but many their families when tyranny arose

if we didn't go to the war, it would come to us
remember 9/11, that wasn't a little fuss

they bombed you, but just go about screaming for peace dude
they don't care about you or your family, your religion to them is crude

why don't you help instead of hurt the war effort, man
but no, you're a stupid generation caught in to the full span

shame on you, all you do is bicker and strife
why don't you fight too, but you won't waste your life

why don't you get out of my country and join a neutral one
because we won't let you be with us when freedom is won

i say bring on any terrorist who dares kill our innocent
you are useless, you do nothing for our country but be belligerent

    Rachel, my bf is in Iraq right now and i really would love to hear what the people in our nation have to say about the war b/c their openions matter to the troops over there knowing that they got people back home rooting for them. i love the poem by the way. NO OFFENSE

    Unless you are in the war fighting too then i wouldnt be talking maby the other people have there reasons to hate the war, and you have no reason to critisize what they think of it.....

    mabey ther dad or brother or even there lover is in that war and gotten killed or hurt.

    SO UNLESS YOUR IN THE WAR AND YOU KNOW WHAT ITS LIKE THERE THEN I WOULDNT BE TALKING IF I WERE YOU KEEP YOU OPENIONS TO YOUR SELF

    I know exactly how u feel! i am a woman in the military and i get put down alot for it but i hear alot about why we are in the war my defense is always to protect freedom! thanks for writting this!!!!!

    Good poem, if not a little harsh. By all means fight a war for justice, peace and honor, but keep your goals pure of heart, and dont hide other means from the public. There are always other means than a complete military frontal destroying everything in its path.
