Bartender One More Glass Of Whiskey

by TheWorldFellNUWerentThere   Mar 2, 2007

**Okay I know this exactly ain't my best but I tried to write a poem for all those who were or are heartbroken. This is suppose to be about a girl in a bar wondering what went wrong in her relationship to make her bf break up. But you all got your own ways or putting things in so yeah. ENJOY!!**

Bartender One More Glass Of Whiskey

Holding my world in my hands,
Letting it slip away like sand,
None of his words,
Can make it come back again.

Bartender please give me a glass of Whiskey,
To wash him away,
I'll be here all night,
So I might need a taxi to take me home.

My goal here tonight,
Is to erase every living memory,
Of the man I so dearly loved,
I gave everything I had to him, yet he left me in the end.

Bartender you know what my love said to me,
He told me I had so many problems,
But the only thing he hasn't driven out of me,
Is my heart for drinking.

I don't know where my heart should be,
After I lost it so long ago,
Left it at the side of the road,
A road called Broken.

Bartender I had so many mechanic's try to work on it,
None of them could figure out,
How to fix or mend it,
They gave up too.

Then a man came along and it felt like he was fixing it,
I told him everything about me,
Thought he cared but he didn't,
So tonight I'm going to drink everything away.

Bartender do you have fifty-cents,
I want to play my sad song on the jukebox,
So everyone can see,
How broken I really am.

Tonight,
I just want to forget the world that I let slip away,
i want to forget the face of the man that I loved,
I'll just dance with my sad song with a glass of Whiskey in my hand.

Bartender have you ever wondered why,
Everyone loves someone,
When in the end they all know,
It's going to end.

What was the point of loving him,
I should've known I was a fool falling for him,
I'm still dying inside,
Because he can't be mine again.

Bartender pour me another glass of Whiskey,
And maybe a glass of Brandy,
And a bottle of beer,
It's going to take a lot to forget him.

What did I have wrong with me,
Maybe it's because I told him I loved him,
I landed myself in heart beak again,
Been here so many times before.

Bartender please don't close the bar,
One more glass of Whiskey,
One more sad song,
One more dance.

I'll go home tonight,
But I'll still be living in heartbreak city,
I'll be back again tomorrow night,
To have one more glass of Whiskey to make his image go away again.

I dont like "to make his image go away again" on the last line. i think the poem would end really well without that there, but it was a wicked poem all the same! well done

Very nice. I loved this. It flowed pretty well & was just so beautifully written. The emotion in this was so deep & strong. The sadness just poured out of this.

Wow. Awesome. Sounds like an elton john song lmfao! I really like it, how you made it seem as if the main "character" was so hopeless that all he had was his beer. It seems you put your heart in it, and it shows. I did not recognize any spelling errors, and besides the fact that it is an odd and original topic to write about, the poem is virtually flawless.
    Great job.
