Lonely Nights

by Startle Me   Mar 3, 2007

Lonely nights passing by
Someone needed by the side
Someone to take up space
In this bed that is so wide

Night by night, hour by hour
Thinking of an imaginary one
Tossing and turning loudly
This battle has not been won

Hearts gnashing away loudly
Hearing wrinkles tearing apart
Need someone strong to fix
This demoralized, wrecked heart

Only the key has been locked
Hidden away from the world
Thinking about all the details
Made the stomach loudly hurl

Wishing not to be so untrusting
To love everyone in sight
Heart would scream from pleasure
To finally be able to see the light
