Once Again

by Honey Kisses 18   Mar 4, 2007

Every night i drink a nightcap
to help drown away the pain
Every night i let the water flow
to help my mind stay sane

I'm lost once again within my mind
Going down a path i know too well
I lost myself to the pain once again
I'm walking down the wrong trails

Once again the razor slices
Bringing forth my blood
Once again my body and soul is torn
And I'm laying in a crimson flood

Once again my tears flow down
Their well-beaten paths along my cheeks
Once again I'm laying here
Wondering why life seems so meek

Once again i can't find that peace
The one hidden within the trail
I'm afraid i won't get through this alive
Once again, I know I'm set up to fail

As the unspoken screams stay unheard
And the unknown fears torment me in the night
I know without a doubt
I'm once again fighting the same no-win fight.

Can You save me from the pain?
Can You mend my heart again?
Once again i ask You to take it away.
To help me live another day.
