We're not alone in this

by Ryan C   Mar 5, 2007

She stares the moon down,
And she wears a hidden frown,
She walks this lone earth,
She's walked alone since birth,

But she herself believes,
We're who we're meant to be,
And though we aren't found
Their words can't tear us down,

And she looks to me,
And I know what she sees,
And she answers with clenched fists,
"We're not alone in this."

"The world can be so cruel,
But I follow no one's rule,
We are one in the same,
We're playing no one's game,

"And when the time has come,
I'll fight and know we've won,
And I swear by my power to resist,
We're not alone in this.

"And everyone is a hero,
Zues, Hera, Hades and Nero,
Regardless of their sides,
Everyone can save a life."

And her fire burns,
Inside her hatred churns,
Unable to extinguish,
Rebel to the finish.

And she looks to me,
And I know what she sees,
And she answers with clenched fists,
"We're not alone in this."
