Dandelions chirp

by Melissa   Mar 6, 2007

I could lose myself
to the white noises of summer
and bask in it's birth
for quite a while really

Winter could never sneeze
her snotty season
over here where it's warm,
my limbs are golden in Sunny's arms
and these teeth no longer chatter
over still tundras of pain

I embrace yellow
with open heart
and spit out the blue

Freedom is no longer south of me,
it is here contemplating it's whereabouts
in a few months after June

Love your word choices! Especially this verse:

    Winter could never sneeze
    her snotty season
    over here where it's warm,
my limbs are golden in Sunny's arms
and these teeth no longer chatter
    over still tundras of pain

After this long Winter....gives a glimpse of Spring to come! Well done!
    All the best, Debbie

I like this-you captured the seasons so well and of course in your unique wording/style. Though still caught in snow here, this poem takes me to the other seasons in my mind. Really love your phrasing/images, especially the last stanza.
