Journey to Addiction

by .K.i.T.t.Y.   Mar 7, 2007

Tears gently fall,
On to the blade,
Held by fragile,
Shaking hands.

The blade,
That will begin the journey,
To nothing but Hell;
An addiction.

Courtesy of the Devil,
Striking them with pain,
Causing all the agony,
Slowly dragging them below.

The journey begins,
The first drip,
Of crimson blood,
Dangling from the knife.

A sure mark,
Of pain,
That once,
Couldn't be seen.

Slowly,
But surely,
The blade strikes
Harder.

Scarring perfect skin,
Staining the innocent,
The purity,
A soul once held.

Now,
Nothing but scars,
Are left,
To show the pain.

Yet the cuts,
Continue to grow,
Slits of plenty grow up their arm:
A razor blade addict.

Another damaged child,
Feeling worthless,
And believing,
In nothing but death.

On a runway train,
They journey,
Not knowing where to,
Just upon torn roads.

The path,
Of insecurity,
And loneliness;
The world becomes darker.
