Shattered

You taught me a lesson i needed,
Made me see people can be conceded,
things aren't always as they seem to be,
and thanks to you now i can see.

We shared some great moments,
and you helped me feel content,
you shattered my heart into pieces,
and now its hatred to you it releases.

Losing you was something my heart didn't need,
and now all i do is sit here and watch it bleed,
Broken and shattered and lay on the floor,
i really cannot feel it anymore.

Though my heart was shattered by you,
i cannot get rid of the feelings that grew,
what you did was evil and unforgiving,
you've led me into the hell where I'm living.

Part of me thanks you for what you did to me,
breaking my heart has now made me see,
that life is cruel and love can be too,
from the pain that you have put me through.

I trust people to easily, and believe them too,
but now its all different just because of you,
i love you as a friend, and i always will do,
a valuable lesson Ive learnt, things i never knew.

I love you and i hate you, but the love is stronger,
but i don't feel it that way any longer,
Friends we will be for the rest of time,
knowing that once upon a time you were mine.
