Sunshine

I can't help thinking of you

when being greeted with warm sunshine

upon awaking each new morn

while looking towards the west

I put a smile upon my face

knowing my best friend is true

a carefree loving spirit

whose soul is bonded with mine

through all of our time on this earth.
