What's the point

by Run out of words   Mar 9, 2007

What's the point in living for,
when your're eventually going to die?
What's the point in loving for,
if in the end it only makes you cry?
What's the point in listening,
if you're only getting crap?
What's the point in speaking the truth,
if all you get is a slap?

There are times in life,
I have no strength,
and I just feel like giving up.
In a strife,
my sorrow had such a length,
feeling so down in the dump.

What's the point in trusting someone,
if they only break your trust?
What's the point in helping someone,
if you only did it because it was a must?
What's the point in saying what you feel,
if everyone is fake?
What's the point in admiring life's sheen,
if the blue has turned green,
in the nearby lake.

What's the point in living for,
if you're eventually going to die?
What's the point in loving someone,
if by the end,
they make you cry?
