Peaceful river

Oh river, where do you lead me?
what do you wish me to see?

if you take me to war, i hesitatingly go
or to peace, i wish that i did know

steady ripples seem like they guide my boat
a cold chill, but not enough for to wear a coat

the quietness is almost eerie, but soothes the soul
i don't know where i am being taken, or what is my goal

the coolness of the river regenerates my life
and it makes me feel good about being in strife

float down my river, if you need help in things
the river can help you, with all that it brings
