Mum (Mother's Day Poem)

I'm taking this opportunity
To finally let you know
I love you more than anything
Even though I don't always let it show.

I'm taking this opportunity to tell you
Without you, I don't know where I'd be
Love you more each and every day
You mean everything to me.

I'm taking this opportunity to say
I know in the past I sometimes lied
Made so many stupid mistakes
So thank you for staying by my side.

Sometimes we argue
Arguments that last for days
But without you near me
I know I'd lose my way.

If you were to leave me
Don't know what I'd do
Only one thing's for certain
My heart would break in two.
