Should I let him read my poems?
I hardly know him but he is my best friend's boyfriend
and he seemed to be truly interested in reading the words
that I write each and every day
for he knows this is my passion
and that this is who I am and what I do for fun, for joy, for release
Bobby, take my hand and let me show you to my world of words and feelings since you seem interested in reading them

of my feelings and experiences over the past six years
and some are just randomly inspired by absolutely nothing
I love what I do
don't knock me down for the words I write and feelings I express
