Lost in Lies

by ben thompson   Mar 20, 2007

Your previous deceptions distort the obvious truths.
Long ago you became lost in your insidious pursuits.

Conversations no longer held with each other eye to eye.
Guilt and despair in my mind keep me asking why.

You've no answer to questions shrouded in dark.
Words neglected and unsaid lie idle in our hearts.

Understanding is gone with indecent consideration.
Corrupted actions quenched you lusty inclinations.

Our souls which were once one, now die disconnected.
All while my loving pleas were met only by dejection.

What once was a true love now only exists in dreams.
My reality now a nightmare, falling apart at the seams.

Now with our little miracle I must find a way to go on.
You've left me with lots of time to explain why daddy's gone.

The children are the innocents in it all. Nicely written. Debbie

How sad. The children are always the ones that suffer the most. How sad.
