Redwood of Passion

by Davey   Mar 22, 2007

Days go by, months maybe years.
I walk this scarlet path alone
False friends, absent to wipe away the tears
I know I can't live a life like this
In disregard of the price you paid
I'm lost, I scream out to you, save me from this disheartened abyss

Jesus, you're the Redwood of Passion
The crimson in my blood
You're vital to everything I am
The core of my presence
Lord show me who I am, and who im meant to be

This world has struck me cold
Broken down the joy I used to hold
The void is filled and the pain wastes away
As he re-paints my life's depiction I used to portray
I need you now more than ever before
As I cry out to you now, rain down from heaven's shore

Jesus, you're the Lion of Hope
The savior of our needs
You're the heart of the world
The sky, the rain, the seeds
That flows life into me
Lord show me who you are, and who you will always be

Immorality's the latest fashion
But I've been saved, from the devastation that's sure to come
Thanks to the Lord, the Redwood of Passion.
