World Gone Missing

by Jemma   Mar 22, 2007

Barren and bare
All empty, alone
Abandoned lives
Disowned, shut away
Lock the door
It chills the soul

You can hear the silent footsteps
As the past treads by
They all ran; they all ran

The crowd dispersed into nothing
Now so empty
Now so cold
So alone

Just look around
The world's gone missing
No one's left

Dying trees reach up high
Derelict prayer
They remember it all
Sentinels of the eternal currents
That slowly tore us apart

A faded grey land
Diminished
The sun is shrouded
And the storm batters the dust below

The crowd dispersed into nothing
Now so empty
Now so cold
So alone

A world gone missing
No one's left
Only me
