That First Day

Doesn't rhyme, still dunno what i was getting to..yes this Will be edited soon!*

Yeah, that first day
in fourth period
in old Crumpler's class was
different..
Out of twenty something
or other students in the class
you were the only one that
caught my interest completely.
you were quiet
and unless Crumps was
saying some
dumb ass
joke, you Rarely smiled...
but oh, when you did
I knew.
I just had to get you to smile
to brighten your face
and keep it there..
I tried talking to you
asking what other class
with Crumps you had
and all i got was a quiet
"I don't know."
But it didn't faze me
and I'm glad because my efforts did
pay off.
Because you soon became a friend to me
and one that i could trust
you were there
during some hard times
and well..
I'm glad..
and I love it when you smile..

    ...'only one who'...&...'and one who I could trust', dear.....'that' is for things, dear.....regardless of popular 'trends'...who....is for people......(and yes I do about whom but that.....is toooo technical under these conditions......

    Beyond these nitpicks, this is a lovely and well-written poem....(can't really imagine what else needs editing...of course, that's Your call..;-)....it made me feel warm...very nice...how fortunate to have a friend....like you...

    I Love it when you smile, Huggy....you make me smile too..........
