Abortion

A living thing
eating, sleeping and dreaming,
all within one stomach,
why kill something so innocent
why not give it a chance,
a chance to touch the grass
to feel the sun,
to have the love people dream of,
but people take this away from them,
if you can’t live with it
then someone else can
but no, you end its life
make it so it never wears shoes
develops a style.

a baby, with no choice
no chance to say it wants to live
killed before it sees the light
all because someone is foolish,
and wasn’t careful
they had sex, consummated love
but without protection
and because of this foolishness
a baby must die
and never see the joy of life

    ... Although I appreciate your opinion,
    does no one question the rights of the mother when a child is created via rape?

    I think abortion must be looked at it from more angles than just one.

    Really awesome poem...this is exactly the way i feel to...its not the babies fault its the parents and the baby is the one who is punished!!! its so unfair...
