You Make My Heart Itch [With Regret] {Parquette}

by xTheEcstasyOfSuicidex   Mar 29, 2007

You make my heart itch [with regret.]
I'll burn down your regretful dreams [to the ground,]
If you will kindly hang me [from my smile--]
A tale of deathly tall lies is your best bet.

You make my heart itch [with regret.]
In his darkened, pitied eyes [may you drown],
As you break my hopeless heart [with style--]
In his ugly heart your glass lust is found.

You make my heart itch [with regret.]
Exasperated after running the mile,
From the 'love' to which you are timelessly bound,
You will make me smile...[only with regret.]

You make my heart itch [with regret.]
If the silver grass is taller than the town,
Then walk your way through the disgusting bile;
If only you hang me from my smile.

    Loved the repetition of this line in the start of each stanza it made the flow beautiful.
    I think that the parts you added at the end were realy needed they made the poem seem interesting and full of emotions. The emotion was great the feeling of anger, that really dragged me into it. The imagery was so perfect. Flawless poem! Well done~mel
