Believe

Have you ever had those days
Where you felt empty inside?
you're not sad, depressed, or happy
It's just something doesn't feel right

You look yourself in the mirror
Trying to figure out what's wrong
But to no avail
You don't know whats gone

Have you ever found yourself
Starring deeper than a fleeting glance?
And just enjoying the scenery
whenever you have the chance

Digging deeper into meaning
Further than you normally would
Becoming more poetic
Than one normally should

Have you ever poured your heart on paper?
Because these emotions that kept seeping in
Wanting this wonderful feeling
But don't know where to begin

And to find yourself peaking at a loving couple
becoming envious a what you see
Until you realize and say
"Where's that one for me?"

Having this incomplete emotion
Wanting this "gift from above"
Now the sadness sets in
And the "wanting to be loved"

But don't let your worries set in
Have strength and you'll see
You'll find that special someone
You just gotta believe

Love isn't perfect
But so isn't everything else
It takes time to find this person
Just believe in yourself

Because love has a sense of humor
It shows time after time
All those bad dates
And the worst pick up lines

All the "can I buy you a drink?"
And that alphabet with "you and I"
The "you stolen my heart"
And all that running across the mind

It might be funny for awhile
But we all must endure
All the hardships of finding true love
Having something true, something pure

So when you find him or her
And give all you wanted to show
Wrap your arms around your lover tight
And don't you dare think of letting go

You just got to believe...
