In Between

by Twisted Heart   Apr 9, 2007

I live my life here in between
Broken hearts and dusty dreams
Forever lost within the mind
Lies a soul that's left behind.

A pain has come into my heart
The shattered sound of broken parts
Crash among the faith that lies
Beneath the lids of haunted eyes.

No soul can live within the grasp
No song to sing, it fades too fast
Which leaves me stuck with pain I've seen
With just a glance of in between.

The moon and stars have left me here
A vacant night sees fallen tears
And though the heartache needs release
No form of help has come to me.

From day to day I tread along
The lonely roads less traveled on
And if by chance I choose to sleep
In between is where I'll be.

Your poem was amazing-the verse i found the most meaningful :

"No soul can live within the grasp
No song to sing, it fades too fast
Which leaves me stuck with pain I've seen
With just a glance of in between."

You may or may not be a christian, but I am here to tell you that god loves you and he is the soul within the grasp!

    beautiful piece of poetry mind
