Bloody Rose

by Jess Lynn   Apr 9, 2007

Bloody rose, scarlet petals
So addicting, your sweet smell.
Thorns are glistening, blood is dripping
As you weave your simple spell.

Drawing in those innocent people
Not letting them know that danger is near
But as fragile hands close 'round the stems
The danger is quite clear.

Bloody rose, a sweet surprise
Of unimaginable beauty, glowing.
Only something that beautiful could be that depressing
We find as the blood starts flowing.
