When I'm President

by CarissalRADIOFACEl   Apr 10, 2007

What's the difference between evil and cynical?
Neither know the value of being kind.
Neither know religion, nor faith; they have preminitions
and none of them can truthfully answer, "I'm fine."

If I were a political, cynical bastard,
well, I'm sure they'd make me a president, too.
The republicans would praise the day I came to term
and the democrats would say, "They speak nothing of the truth."

Who ever heard of a satisfied criminal,
and what's the difference between being numb and dead?
Who'd give up hope and freedom to have
suicidal thoughts run through their head?

What's the difference between dead beat and six feet under?
Either way, they aren't around.
Both had hopes and dreams at some point,
and then they all came crashing to the ground.

If I were a political, cynical bastard,
would suicidal thoughts run through my head?

Personally, I enjoyed this piece and I thought the message was good, but sometimes it seemed like you were straying from the topic you were writing about. Also, the flow was a little bit staccato and off, but for the most part, good job! keep it up!
