Lies

by Valiantpenguin   Apr 16, 2007

Hold her close as she cries
from her precious hazel eyes,
Then watch her as she falls
from her high defensive walls
Breaking into her heart
promising you'll never break it apart
Watch her as she cuts
and say it's only for attention
Laugh when you hear she tried and failed at suicide
Then wonder why she wont talk to you
when all you did was lie
Then after you break her heart a thousand times
ask for her love
And be in shock when you find
she's finally killed herself
All because of three simple words
whispered by you seeming so sweet,
Sounding so true
Then as you go to her funeral
you hear her one last note
"I gave him my heart,
he tore it apart,
he asked why I wouldn't talk to him,
all he did was lie,
the truth you see,
is what he said to me,
he said he loved me,
maybe he did,
but I guess I'll never know
all I can say is who's sorry now?"
And with that known you flew on home
and knew just how she felt,
So you grabbed your favorite pocketknife,
a paper and a pen
Into your room you fled
and wrote only four words,
"I've always loved her"
Then commited the same crime she did
not so long ago
And you were with her forever more
