A Life, Stolen

Story: a 16 year old girl finds out that she was switched at birth and when she finds her real mother, her "mom" ((who also switched her)) killed her real mother... This was written as if it was her, but in third person

````````````````````````````````````
16 years ago, a mother lost her baby girl;
She was forced to grow up inside a different world.
She never knew the truth, until it was almost too late.
But the one thing her "mom" kept her from, would ultimately become her fate.
Reading a diary, written in the killers hand-
She finally knows why; she can finally understand.
Now she knows why she was different; everyone but her was the same.
Now she finally gets why she doesn't fit her name.
Trapped inside a web of lies that were so intricately weaved-
She cries as she comes to the conclusion; it's something she couldn't believe:
All the times she tried to believe that she finally fit in;
All the times that they lied; the truth was kept within.
Finally, she knows the truth, but it is too late now.
Trying to relieve the pain, yet always asking "How?"
How could she do this to me? How could she live this lie?
She was the one who was supposed to love me, but now, just makes me cry.
Tears fall slowly from her blue eyes, blood-shot and red.
The last words of her mother still ringing in her head.
"Darling, no matter what, I'll always be here for you.
I'm sorry that you've lived this life and for all that she put you through."
The pain is evident in her delicate, pale face-
Forced to live this life where she never had a place.
The mirror shows a reflection of a face, so swollen-
Of a little girl who has to live A Life, Stolen.
