There have been so many years
In which I have spent alone
I wait for you to enter my doorway
I wait for you to call me

I can see you in my dreams
watching me while i sleep
I can feel you in my heart
and taste you in my tears

I wish so hard to have you here
to hold me in your arms
I want to feel your hand in mine
as we walk down the street

I need to hear those special words
when you wake me in the morning
I need to feel your warm soft touch
as you softly kiss my cheek

I want you to know how much i care
so much that i will wait for you
I will wait alone for that special day
when you and I will finally be one.
