Glass Rose (part 2) Wounds Of A Rose

Wounds Of A Rose

I'm rotting, I'm withering away
This is the price I have to pay
For everything I have done to be with you
Looking back on the happiness and sorrow I cry anew.

I was in love you just couldn't see
Now your gone because of me
Out of everything I lost I gained so much more
The knowledge of knowing love leaves you sore.

I fell in love and took the chances
Of pain and loss twisted in psychotic dances
You twirled around me stepping on my toes
You called me beautiful, now I'm nothing but a rotting rose.

Leave me be curled up in this darkness
I will have to learn not to love and become heartless
When I come out again to see the world
I wont fall back down from your sickening twirl.

There is someone out there who must be dreaming
Just like me in pain and weeping
When we meet they'll find my heart
Regaining life and the feeling of love, this is our new start.

It'll be the one to welcome me in his arms
The one who won't do me harm
First he would kiss my cheek instead
He'll be the one to hold me hand and help me mend.
