The dream, the city, the light

by Christopher Lee   Apr 25, 2007

Party in the city
City of the light
Pulsing with the bass drum
Sparkles in the night.

Paths winding round
Meeting in the middle.
Snaking through each other
Creation of the riddle.

Silence in between them,
Nothing valuable to say.
One shares themselves,
The other says nay.

Confusion in the middle
Something gone a-wry
Can’t work it out
Given up with a sigh.

If love was as easy as that
The world would be happy.
A dream never true,
A world always snappy.
