Avoiding every possible way of thinking about the fact that you are going to leave
Pretending so much that it was never going to happen
That when you told me I was in such a shock.
Deep down I always knew this day would happen
I dont think its going to properly hit me until your really gone.
Change has a considerable psychological impact on the human mind.
Crying with what feels like tears of sadness
I suppose can also be tears of happiness as well.
Happy that I have been privileged enough to have been able to meet someone
Someone that has helped me regain trust in someone
Helped me to feel like what I say and who I am matters.
You have helped me wrestle with some of my choices
Although I would sometimes tell people I hated them I never once meant it.
You genuinely cared and wanted to help.
All I ever wanted was for someone to listen and thats exactly what you did.
I just want to let you know that sometimes when we are generous in small ways
It can change someone elses life forever.
There are many more trials and tribulations to come
I am hoping I will have the strength to overcome them.
