Turning Back Time

Only an angel has the wings to fall
Only a star has the light to die
Where you can save it all
With the eyes to hold the sky

Only a heart has the love to break
Only the sun has the warmth to grow cold
Who would ever known life was a fake?
Who would have thought this story has been told?

Only the pen has the ink to run out
Only a candle has the wax to melt
Why would life just turn around?
To feel this pain again, which I have felt

If a scar were to reopen
To show the aching hole
Then I'll drop to my knees hoping
You're not coming back for the heart you already stole

    Ohhh this was beautifully written...emotion and depth shine through the words. The imagery you used creates vivid pictures, and I liked the metaphors you used.
    Flow was flawless throughout, and the rhyme scheme and word choice enjoyable, as was the whole poem.
